NowBaby and Joie bring free expert advice to parents-to-be
NowBaby, in association with Joie Baby, is providing expectant parents across the UK with expert advice via an online Complete Antenatal Course, which is completely free for all to access.
This new initiative means families can benefit from a comprehensive course, full of invaluable information, led by leading midwives at no cost to themselves. The programme offers everything that any expectant parent could need in terms of pre-natal support and will be a much-needed lifeline for those who may be struggling with the cost-of-living crisis, or who may not have access to local antenatal services.
The NowBaby Complete Antenatal Course is a simple-to-access online programme that aims to provide parents-to-be with clear, impartial, medical and evidence-based information along with practical guidance, delivered by trusted NowBaby midwives with over 25 years’ experience.
“Our mission has always been to provide clear, evidence-based guidance and reassurance to the largest possible audience of new and expectant parents,” said David Salem of NowBaby. “Thanks to our partnership with Joie, our (now free) Complete Antenatal Course will ensure that all families, regardless of circumstance, can benefit from trusted midwife-led support during one of their most important life stages.”
The course offers more than 8 hours of content, which is broken down into easily digestible sessions. They cover every stage of pregnancy and early parenthood, with topics including pregnancy and birth preparation, labour and birth choices, breastfeeding and baby first aid.
There is also optional weekly access to midwives, to give continued support and reassurance where it’s needed.
The focus during the course is to provide expectant parents with easy-to-understand, balanced information that helps them to feel supported and empowered to be actively involved in decisions about their care during and after pregnancy.
The course, which would retail at a cost of £175, is being offered to expectant families for free, thanks to the financial support of Joie Baby, removing any financial barriers to high-quality antenatal education for all parents across the UK.
