British music and audio innovator, Meters Music, has unveiled its flagship headphone for 2020 and it’s an eye-catcher. The state-of-the-art Meters OV-1-B-CONNECT features both wireless aptX HD Bluetooth technology and a high-quality active noise-cancelling (ANC) function for both optimal ease-of-use and state-of-the-art sound performance.
The wireless Meters Music OV-1-B-CONNECT HD headphones are among the first on the market to use a fancy new System-on-Chip (SoC) which delivers the highest-quality Bluetooth transmission; up to 24-bit and High-Definition (HD) audio direct to your headphones, to be exact.
Design-wise, the headphones come with Meters’ signature design feature; two fully functioning VU meters on each sides of the headphones. The meters react and move in real time to the volume of the incoming musical signal. While Meters are keen to point out these VU meters allow users to listen to beats responsibly, more than anything they just look cool.

As well as being armed with the latest headphones technology, the OV-1-B-C headphones are designed to be as flexible and enjoyable to wear as possible. The high-quality active noise-cancelling function can be switched off when not required and can be used via a wired connection if you’ve forgotten to charge the battery.
The flagship Meters OV-1-B-C headphone is available in three colours (Black, White and Tan) and is available for £299.99. There also a new app which lets you control the colour of your Meters, as well as control the brightness of the dial when in dark spaces such as long haul night flights. Earlier this year, IKEA teamed up with fellow Swedish start-up Teenage Engineering for a capsule collection made specifically for those looking to hold a shindig in their own digs. Dubbed the ‘FREKVENS’ range, the collection features speakers, spotlights and LEDs for the ultimate house party.
