The first trailer for Liam Neeson’s Taken 3, now titled Tak3n (rather ingeniously), has found it’s way online.

The next instalment sees Neeson return as hero badass Bryan Mills. This time he’s been framed for the murder of his wife and is on the run from the US government and European terrorists alike.

By now you know what to expect from the Taken series and the trailer offers very little in the way of originality. But at least you know what you’re getting. The main interest here is the script has been co-penned by Luc Besson which could be great news (Léon) or bad news (Lucy) depending on what sort of form he’s in. Here’s hoping for the former.

Olivier Megatron, who directed Taken 2, will direct again and Maggie Grace and Framke Johnson will both return as supporting cast. Dougray Scott, Forest Whitaker and Sam Spruell are also on board. Tak3n will be released early 2015.
