The new year always brings thoughts of travel and warmer climates, so to help inspire the wanderlust, we’ve put together a collection of five new hotels we’d like to visit in 2025.
NEMI – Nest in Milan
Milan, Italy
A new luxury hotel is set to open on 1 February 2025 in an area of Milan which encapsulates the old city. NEMI, or Nest in Milan, says it aims to become a reference point for curious, sophisticated, and dynamic travellers who want to experience authenticity, local connection, and creativity.
The area around NEMI is brimming with historic shops, local markets and artisan workshops that coexist with new fashion showrooms and design studios, and the hotel aims to be a refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city, an oasis of tranquillity just steps away from the busiest areas and most crowded streets, from which to explore and capture the true spirit of Milan.

The image of the nest is found in the name and the structure overlooking Via Benvenuto Cellini, characterised by an architectural detail reminiscent of the interweaving of nests. NEMI intends to focus on tailor-made hospitality and personalised service in a refined and relaxing environment.
The hotel has 49 rooms and suites across four floors, including Garden Suites with private 60-square-metre gardens, and Milano Suites with a panoramic view of the city’s rooftops and skyline.

NEMI– Nest in Milan aims to position itself as a luxury lifestyle hotel in the panorama of hospitality in Milan, not only as a place to stay in a unique atmosphere and with the utmost comfort but also as a gateway to a world of authentic experiences for travellers who wish to explore the traditions, creativity and ancient charm of Milan, alongside its more contemporary offerings.

The NH Collection Samui Peace Resort offers 122 rooms, suites, and villas. It is tucked into the hillside, which gently slopes down towards Bophut Bay. The stretch of silky golden sand the hotel overlooks is shared with the characterful Fisherman’s Village, where traditional wooden houses, boutique stores and a vibrant night market showcase local character.

Guests can relax in the pool, head out on a kayak or stand-up paddle board, or take part in a Muay Thai class in the gardens, a yoga class on the beach or some gentle aqua aerobics. Private cooking classes are available in the purpose-built outdoor kitchen for food lovers, focusing on local recipes. Kids and teens roam free between a splash pool, in-nature playground, cinema room and a kids’ club.
Park Hyatt London River Thames
London, UK
Opened in October 2024, Park Hyatt London River Thames overlooks the river, with views across the city from many of the 203 guestrooms.

Located just a stone’s throw from some of London’s most iconic landmarks, such as Battersea Power Station and the historic Oval Cricket Ground, and with Westminster and Buckingham Palace just across the river, Park Hyatt London River Thames is a great location to explore the city from.
The interiors of Park Hyatt London River Thames offer a contemporary interpretation of the classic English style. The neutral, muted colours are punctuated with artwork, with an installation from Charlie Whinney inside the hotel entrance, which is named ‘Ebb and Flow’, inspired by the river Thames. Elsewhere throughout the property, guests can enjoy art from several well-known artists, including Ian Rayer-Smith, Jo Taylor, Françoise Delaire, Gabriel Leung, George Blacklock, and Ewan David.
The Park Hyatt London Rover Thames hotel’s guestrooms offer comfort and indulgence, with accents of leather and brass, which complement the beautifully styled designs featured in the wallpaper designs by the iconic English textile designer William Morris. With floor-to-ceiling windows, each room is flooded with natural light, with many rooms offering guests sweeping views of the river Thames, the Houses of Parliament and the City of London.

The Nine Elms Kitchen & Terrace offers dishes expertly crafted from seasonal ingredients, and the Nine Elms Bar & Lounge creates a relaxing ambience to enjoy a signature cocktail.
For those looking for an elevated experience, TAMISé Tea Lounge & Wine Library offers a setting overlooking the river. Guests will also be able to enjoy authentic flavours at the hotel’s Cantonese restaurant, which is expected to open later this year.
For those seeking ultimate relaxation, an entire floor is dedicated to rejuvenation, featuring a spa with panoramic river views. There is a large state-of-the-art fitness centre, a serene indoor pool, six luxurious treatment rooms, and a relaxation lounge, making it a welcome sanctuary to unwind against the busy backdrop of the city.
