The first word that will strike a chord is vintage. The wire lugs that hold the strap in place first appeared in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, but are less commonly seen in modern watch design. Having embraced that vintage feel, the designers leaned into the industrial era, basing the bold, clear numbers on the face in the gauges seen on steam trains.
The result is a bold statement watch that looks stylish and retro, but not old or outdated. The strap can be easily changed, with various designs available on the company’s website. The second hand in a vibrant turquoise blue adds a little splash of colour and represents the colour of the famous Camden Lock bridge.
