EufyCam C35

If you’re new to the world of security cameras, the choice could be overwhelming. From solar to mains power options, static to mobile, there are a lot to choose from. There’s a new option to throw into the arena — the EufyCam C35. It’s small but pretty mighty, and with excellent picture quality and placement adaptability, is it the easy answer you’ve been looking for? We tried the wireless security camera to find out.

What’s Hot:
+ Compact, battery-powered cameras that are easy to set up and install
+ Can be joined to an existing Eufy ecosystem
+ Quality images even in low light

What’s Not:
– Plastic brackets could deteriorate in extreme weather
– Charging required, so cameras need to be accessible
– Dynamic range struggles in direct sunlight

What is the EufyCam C35?

The C35 is the latest addition to the EufyCam security range. Launched in the latter part of 2025, these petite cameras are a well-thought-out, easy-to-install option for those wanting eyes both in and around their home.

While many battery-powered security cameras can be rather bulky and cumbersome, the C35 is neat and compact, measuring just 9cm tall and 6cm across. It’s wireless, too, so there are no dangling cables to contend with, making it even more appealing.

One of the great features of the Eufy security range is that all footage is stored locally, with no need for subscriptions to access and use the products. The C35 cameras can store captured footage on microSD cards in each individual camera for those that are outside of WiFi range, or can be gathered centrally and stored on the HomeBase Mini, which comes as part of the multi-camera kits. The HB Mini has 8GB of internal storage, which can be boosted to 1TB with the addition of a microSD card.

If you are already using Eufy security products and have an S380 hub, then the C35 cameras can be added to the existing network, so the HB Mini wouldn’t be needed.

The cameras are IP67-rated for weatherproofing, so they are perfect for outdoor use, and can be used just as effectively indoors, too.

How easy is the EufyCam C35 to set up and install?

Setting up the system takes a matter of minutes. If you’re using the HB Mini, that needs to be set up first using the Eufy app, and the cameras can then be added. A quick scan of the QR codes on each item from within the app adds them and generates instructions for the rest of the process, which syncs everything together.

Installation is also hassle-free. There are a few alternative options, depending on where you want to place the camera and on which surface you want to mount it, giving a nice level of flexibility of use.

For permanent placement on a solid surface (wood or brick, for example), drill a couple of holes for the mounting plate and attach it using the screws and wall plugs provided. The bracket then connects to the camera and can be easily clicked into the mounting plate.

If you want to attach the camera to a metal base, such as a post or a gate bracket, it’s even easier. The bracket that connects the camera is fitted with magnets, securing the unit in place. We haven’t tried this connection method ourselves, other than on the fridge in the kitchen, but the magnets seem to have plenty of strength, so we have no reason to believe they wouldn’t hold the camera firmly in place.

Another option, likely to be used inside the house, is simply to stand it on a flat surface. The base of the camera is designed to let it stand happily on its own, so it can be popped onto a shelf to keep an eye on pets while you’re out and about, or even sleeping children.

What’s the performance like?

When it comes to performance, there are two crucial factors: image quality and battery life. Thankfully, EufyCam C35 excels in both areas.

The C35 provides clean footage in just about every light condition. Using Eufy’s PureColour Vision rather than infrared, the cameras capture detailed, clear colour images even in low-light. Where it did struggle a little was in direct, bright early-morning sunlight.

We mounted a camera by the front door, which gets a lot of morning sun streaming towards it, and it found the changing dynamic range challenging. The contrast between the bright sunlight and the shadows from our and the neighbouring house threw it off a bit, making the image slightly less detailed, if only for a couple of hours as the sun moves across the field of vision. It’s by no means a big issue, as the camera still detected motion and picked out people and cars with no problem, albeit slightly less clearly.

There is a spotlight option that can be switched on and off manually via the app or programmed to activate when motion is detected. Couple this with the siren that can also be linked, and it’s a handy deterrent to wannabe snoopers or opportunists.

A rechargeable battery powers each camera. During our testing, we found the battery life to be very good, even during the freezing winter temperatures. One camera is placed by the main door at the side of the house, so there are relatively frequent movement detections, but even in this high-traffic area, the battery can easily last 3-4 weeks before needing to be topped up. When it does need to be charged, the camera can be unclipped, brought inside, and plugged into a USB-C port.

If you intend to mount the camera in a less accessible place, an Eufy solar panel can be attached to keep it powered. This could be more problematic in winter, but if the solar panels on the S3 Pro cameras we’ve previously tested are anything to go by, you shouldn’t have too many issues.

Once everything is up and running, it is controlled in the Eufy app. Everything is fairly intuitive, with each camera individually accessible. Here, you can modify the type of notifications you receive, monitor the cameras in real time, use the two-way speak function and see the current battery charge level.

EufyCam uses AI to distinguish between people, animals, and cars, and it does that pretty well. If you’re only interested in knowing when people approach, you can select that within the app, so you won’t get an alert every time your cat pops over the fence or a delivery van drives by. These can be adjusted at any time to suit your needs.

If your camera is placed facing a road or footpath, you can restrict the monitored area so that, for example, you don’t get a ping every time your neighbour walks the dog and the motion detection is triggered, or the postman passes the end of the footpath. It can take a few attempts to get it just right, but you’ll be glad you spent the time once you do.

EufyCam C35 wireless security cameras: The verdict

EufyCam C35 security cameras have many great features that make them stand out in a fairly crowded marketplace. The setup and installation process is simple and speedy, which is a big plus, and the quality of the footage, particularly at night, is excellent.

There is very little to dislike about the C35. For some, the need to manually charge the cameras could be less appealing, particularly if they aren’t easy to reach. In those instances and for those circumstances, the C35 wouldn’t be the most appropriate choice.

The C35 2-Cam kit will tick a lot of boxes for many people. It’s easy to use, gives excellent footage and offers good value for money at £170 for the complete kit — and it’s just £150 at Amazon as this is published. Whether you’re seeking home security peace of mind or a versatile puppy-cam while you’re at the office, EufyCam C35 will provide what you need and more. This quietly capable, unobtrusive tech yields impressive performance in a compact form.
