The Great Christmas Feast

A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens has long been one of my favourite Christmas stories. The Victorian parlours and lavish celebrations create a fabulous backdrop for this ghoulish yet ultimately uplifting story that is so intrinsically linked with the festive season. But why only imagine, when you can be present at the first reading of this iconic story by Mr Charles Dickens himself? Returning for its eighth year, The Lost Estates presents The Great Christmas Feast.

What better way to kick off your Christmas celebrations than with this all-encompassing experience that sees you enjoying a three-course Christmas banquet and a glass or two of wine in the parlour of Charles Dickens on Christmas Eve, 1843, as the author shares his work for the very first time.

On arrival, the scene is set from the get-go, as guests enter through a door in West Kensington and find themselves having passed through a Dickensian portal, emerging in a parlour lit with candles and lamps, ready to take their seats for what promises to be an exceptional evening.

The dinner guests will be immersed in a hybrid performance of theatre, music and storytelling that will bring the characters of Scrooge, Marley and Tiny Tim to life as the story unfolds all around them.

The skilled characterisation and exceptional musical performances from the cast and musicians of The Lost Estates ensemble, coupled with the highly atmospheric setting, will captivate you from beginning to end.

The Great Christmas Feast Food

The three-course meal is served with plenty of lavish Victorian hospitality, ensuring that each guest leaves happy and satisfied, just as they would have in Dickens’ day.

The Great Christmas Feast has garnered rave reviews for its previous sell-out performances, and this year is likely to be no exception. Performances will run from 14 November 2025 until 4 January 2026, with tickets available now from £139.50.
