The lure of a three-day weekend means cracking out the BBQ and dusting off the cocktail shaker. We’ve got a few super simple summer cocktail recipes that will keep the party swinging until Monday evening.

Disaronno Velvet Batida

This is a nice, easy cocktail to get the party started!

Add equal measures of Disaronno Velvet and coconut water to your cocktail shaker and shake to blend. Pour over crushed ice and garnish with shredded coconut if you have some. If not, go minimalist; it’ll be delicious either way.

Disaronno Velvet adds a creamy texture to the familiar, nutty-sweet Disaronno flavour. Blended with cool coconut water, it gives playful, tropical vibes that are perfect for a warm summer evening.

Disaronno Fizz

Add 45ml of Disaronno to your chosen straight glass. Top up with 150ml of chilled soda water and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. Top up the glass with ice and garnish with a twist of lemon peel.

It’s a classic flavour — sweet almonds and subtle hints of vanilla — and making it a long, cool drink will be refreshing after a long day of relaxing with friends in the sunshine. That squeeze of sharp lemon adds a delightful tang of sharp citrus to tingle your taste buds.

Patron Long Margarita

Add 50ml of Patron Silver to a glass filled with ice. Mix in 150ml of chilled Fevertree Mexican Lime tonic water and garnish with a wedge of lime.

A Margarita is a classic cocktail that is always in style. Using Fevertree Mexican Lime tonic as the mixer keeps the fresh lime flavour coming through but with a touch less acidity than with more traditionally mixed versions. It also means you can spend more time socialising and less time mixing, which is always the goal.

Havana Club Cuba Libre

We are keeping things simple and flavour-packed with the Cuba Libre. Rum, coke and a smidge of lime — what’s not to love, especially in this limited edition bottle that oozes Latin summer vibes?

Mix 50ml of Havana Club 3-Year-Old Original with 200ml of your favourite cola over ice. Add a squeeze of fresh lime and garnish with a wedge of lime.

Panther M*lk on the Rocks

And now for something just a little different. Pour Panther M*lk Crema over ice and top with a dusting of ground cinnamon to evoke the spirit of Leche de Pantera, the 1920s Spanish cocktail that inspired it.

This flavour-filled, smooth, creamy, premixed cocktail blends oat milk with a blend of spirits that the producers are keeping under wraps (our bets are on rum). Hints of vanilla, caramel, and spices create a pleasant glassful that is too easy to drink. It’s entirely plant-based, too, so everyone can enjoy it.
