2014 Mercedes CLA Revealed

The new Mercedes A-Class is one of the best looking premium hatchbacks of recent years but the back end looked a little plump. The new 2014 Mercedes CLA solves that problem by turning the hatch into a stunning compact saloon/coupe. It is like a shrunken version of the bigger CLS, only much better looking.

Underneath the car is much the same as its A-Class sibling and will share its powertrains. Three engines will be available from launch. Two petrols and one diesel. Later we expect to see a hot AMG version with four wheel drive which already has us foaming at the mouth.

Inside you get the same funky dash from the A-Class but expect a touch more luxury from the materials used. Just like its hatchback sibling, the 2014 Mercedes CLA is aimed at the Twitter generation so you will be able to sync your Smartphone and even access Facebook and Twitter directly from the cars dash mounted screen. UK prices and specs have yet to be confirmed but with no direct rival we expect this new Mercedes to be very popular.
