Not to be outdone by his brother Liam, Noel has taken a gentle step into the world of fashion. Not quite to the extent of launching his own label, admittedly, but to mark the release of his first solo album, Noel Gallagher has teamed up with Adidas to create a limited-edition pair of Originals Training 72 trainers.

Since Oasis split between V Festival gigs last year, both Gallagher brothers have been bouncing from one project to the next, presumably trying to out-earn each other. Given his songwriting record, we suspect Noel is probably winning that particular contest, and his solo album, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, won’t do his bank balance any harm when it’s released on Monday, 17 October.
Never one to miss an opportunity, Gallagher has taken his long-standing love of Adidas and put his name to a shoe of his own. Based on the Originals Training 72, the white trainers feature the trademark three stripes in royal blue, a dark gum sole, and gold branding, including Noel’s name and face on the tongue.

Only 200 pairs will be produced, so they probably won’t be hanging around for long. They go on sale on Saturday, 22 October at No6 in London and No74 in Berlin.
