It’s party season, and with so many social engagements on the calendar, you don’t want to get caught under the mistletoe with unsightly hair tufts. To ensure you’re groomed to perfection, we’ve tested some new and improved Manscaped grooming products to see if they keep you in trim.

The Weed Whacker 2.0
£45

No one wants rogue nose hairs to tickle at the wrong moment, so keep them down at a manageable level without wrenching them out by the roots and making your eyes water. The Weed Whacker has had a cutting blade upgrade since the first iteration, so you can be sure you’ll catch all those hairs. The new 360-degree rotary dual-blade system and 7,000 rpm motor ensure consistent cutting without pulling, making for a more comfortable grooming experience.

The skin-safe technology will also help ensure it’s just the hairs you’re cutting, but it isn’t totally foolproof, so be sure to pay attention.

It’s waterproof, so you can use it as part of an all-over grooming session in the shower or for a quick tidy-up around the edges, so to speak, as you’re getting ready to leave. The battery has a good run time, giving you up to 45 minutes of use between charges. The rubberised grip also makes it easy to hold and use

There’s a travel lock, too, so if you’re out and about with it in your bag or suitcase, just flick the switch, and it won’t accidentally run down the battery if the button gets tapped in transit. The only real downside is that there isn’t a travel case, but grab yourself The Shed 2.0 alongside the Weed Whacker, and you can keep all your grooming products safely stowed together.

The Beard Hedger
£99

A new addition to the Manscape range, The Beard Hedger does pretty much what it says — with 20 different length settings, from 0.5mm up to 10mm, you can trim your beard exactly how you like it with minimal fuss.

A head guard covers the titanium-coated stainless steel T-blade, and to adjust, simply rotate the zoom wheel to your chosen length, flick the switch, and away you go — no more faffing around finding the right length comb to attach, as it’s already there.

If you’re in a hurry or running late for that all-important get-together, you can shave and shower at the same time, as the Beard Hedger is waterproof, saving you time on both the grooming and the clean-up afterwards!

The lithium-ion battery provides around 60 minutes of run-time from each charge, and the three-level charge indicator light will let you know when it’s time to recharge.

The Beard Hedger comes with a USB-C charging cable to keep you topped up with power, and a travel case so you can throw it into your case as you head out for your next adventure.

The Lawn Mower 5.0 Ultra
£110

So, we’ve taken care of the face and head, but what about the rest? The Lawn Mower 5.0 Ultra groin and body hair trimmer — another new addition to the Manscaped lineup — has that well and truly in hand.

Manscaped The Lawn Mower 5.0 Ultra Grooming Kit

This compact little number packs plenty in, with two interchangeable heads — a trimmer blade with a fixed 1.4mm comb and a foil head — and two adjustable combs covering lengths from 2mm to 12mm. That’s enough flexibility to let you trim whatever you want, however you want.

Like the other Manscaped products, it’s waterproof and durable, so in or out of the shower, you can trim to your heart’s content. The battery will give you around 60 minutes of pruning time, but if that’s not enough and you’re left with some unsightly tufts, then there is a quick charge option to smooth off those rough edges before you hit the social circuit. You shouldn’t get caught out, though, as an LED battery warning level light lets you know the state of play.

If you do run a little tight on power, there’s no need to worry about that impacting the trim — the spinning motor will remain consistent until that very last spin, with no slowing down and tugging as it takes the last gasp.

When you’re getting into the nitty-gritty and can’t quite see the objective, a built-in torchlight sheds a little extra light on the situation.

All of this comes with a USB-C charging cable and a travel case so you can stay neat and tidy no matter where you are in the world.
